Three seasons on the same set, logged every fill-up. Tread depth went from 9.1 mm to 5.8 mm, almost all of it in the first winter. Consumption rose 0.4 l/100 km with the studs in, which is less than I expected and more than the shop said.

The kitchen sits at 19 °C from November to March, and the starter slows to a crawl. Feeding at 1:5:5 instead of 1:1:1 and leaving it twelve hours gets the same rise the summer schedule gets in six.

Pine, 18 mm, two French cleats. The cleats carry the load; the screws only keep the shelf from lifting off. Took an afternoon, most of it waiting for oil to dry.
